Financial Modules can really tiring, especially when you have to input all your assets, liabilities and goals to the system to see 'some' output for risk mananment. It gets even more confusing when you do that in a hand help device with a touch screen interface. We, at design for use, strived to make this process of input playful and transparent, so that not only the financial managers but also the end users can use the FNA app and get valuable suggestions from it.
We had a challenge at hand, to convert the existing web app in to an iPad App. The concepts explored various forms of interaction including
touch, click, Drag & Drop, Pinch and on fixed to fluid canvas. Finally we went with ahead with a design, mataphorical similar to a board game like monopoly, where the user drags and drops properties on to the age-timeline.
